VoIP Psychotherapy Service
Voice over Internet Protocol or PC to PC calling is the technology that allows voice communication over the internet. This service is similar to telephone counselling and comes closest to face to face psychotherapy. You have the option to use video or to remain out of sight. Skype is the most known international VoIP, that allows free calls worldwide. With a good internet connection it works extremely well and is also encrypted. You will need to set up a Skype account with a messenger ID and take care of the safety on your own PC in terms of confidentiality.
The advantage of VoIP psychotherapy is that you have life personal contact with the therapist, which is beneficial for building trust. If you don’t like typing, you might prefer to work with this voice communication.
Instant chat Psychotherapy Service
Chat sessions allow for real time communication and immediate response via online text messenger. Chat sessions can give you access to psychotherapy when anxiety or embarrassement might otherwise stop you from consulting.
Email Psychotherapy Service
The client will type their feelings, problems, concerns and questions and send them in a mail to the therapist, who will take the time to read and analyse it thoroughly. The psychotherapist will respond with a thought out therapeutic reply, tailored to your individual needs. You can send your text at any time and I guarantee you a reply within three days, except on weekends. The extra advantage of this type of therapy is that you don’t need to wait for an appointment. The guideline for one session is about 1000 words.
Email therapy is very convenient and quick. It also requires you to think about your feelings and express them into words, which is in itself therapeutic. It reduces pressure to respond immediately to suggestions by the therapist and you will have time to read and consider at your own pace what was covered.

Practicalities
For more information, you can mail me at muriel@muriellahor.com and I will be happy to assist you. In this first exchange I will also give you an idea of the number of sessions you might require and the cost involved. If you agree with the terms, I generally propose three sessions to begin with, after which there will be a short assessment of the service. This is to make sure that you are happy with my way of working and that there is a good enough match between us. Working with a psychotherapist requires you to feel at ease in order for the therapy to be efficient.
